Journey is an American Rock Band from San Francisco California formed
by former members of Santana , The Steve Miller band Band & others
in February 1973 as the Golden Gate Rhythm Section . The Group was
renamed Journey in the Summer & Originally included Keyboardist &
Vocalist Gregg Rolie , Lead Guitarist Neal Schon , Rhythm Guitarist
George Tickner , Bassist Ross Valory & Drummer Prairie Prince . Debut
Studio Album Journey ( 1975 ) 2nd Studio Album Look Into The Future
( 1976 ) Third Studio Album Next ( 1977 ) 4th Studio Album Infinity (1978)
They have done 16 Studio Albums . Journey had their Biggest Commercial
success between 1978 -1987 when Steve Perry was lead vocalist. They
released a series of hit songs including Don’t Stop Believin’ which in 2009
became the Top Selling Track in I Tunes History among songs not released
in the 21st Century . Escape Journeys Seventh & most Successful Album
reached number One on the Billboard 200 & yielded another of their most
popular Singles ” Open Arms ” . Sales have resulted in 25 Gold & Platinum
RIAA Diamond Certified 1988s Greatest Hits Album . According to the
Recording Industry Association of America . Journey has sold 52 Million
Records in the US. . Making them the 11th Best Selling Band . Their World
